World Championships 2008
The hotly anticipated 2008 World Latin Formation Championships did not disappoint!
22 Teams from around the world descended on Wiener Neustadt, Austria, to compete for the title.
With the standard across all teams higher than ever, XS Latin were thrilled to receive two recalls to the semi-final, placing them 14th overall.
Excitingly, the Lithuanian team won the competition, beating the top German team for the first time in three years.
Many teams who have previously been in contention for finalist places were not recalled to the semi-final, proving once again that the calibre of Latin Formation is increasing universally.

XS Latin wins British National Championships!
After a very tight competition, XS Latin won the British National Latin Formation Championships, held in the Winter Garden's Empress Ballroom in Blackpool.
It's the third time the team has won the title and means they will be representing England at next year's European Championships in Lithuania.
Four teams competed for the title, the most for almost a decade.
Let's hope this increasing popularity in latin formation means that for future
British competitions, the judges will adopt the International standard of facing the teams in an elevated position.

XS Latin Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary
What better to celebrate 10 years of XS Latin than to have party --
and dance?! As well as dancing, the anniversary event included a host of
photos, videos and costumes from all previous routines, and appearances
by many of the team's former members, coaches and friends.
Holding back the tears, David Mallabone gave the speeches, handed out the
awards and presented the masterly-produced 10-year anniversary video.
Thanks to every who helped with the event and everyone involved in making XS
such a success over the past 10 years.

XS Latin competes at the 2007 European Championships
To show off their new routine, XS journeyed to Düsseldorf to compete, for the
first time, in the European Latin Formation Championships.
The top teams from across Europe compete at this event and the standard was
incredibly high. Despite a remarkable performance, particularly given the
routine is so new, XS did not receive enough recalls into the semi final.
Bremen, the reigning world champions, took first place.

A new routine for XS Latin
The first training session for XS Latin this year saw the commencement of
training on a new routine, entitled
"On Broadway".
The new routine takes its inspiration from musicals of Broadway and the West
End, and the music includes snippets of songs such as "Big Spender",
"Whatever Lola Wants" and "Aquarius".
The first competitive performance of the new routine is scheduled for the
European Championships in May, which gives the team less time than they've
ever had before to learn and refine the six minutes of choreography.
